I recently purchased an 83' Centurion Pro Tour 15 (15 spd) touring bike. It came with 27" wheels. I cold set the rear frame dropouts to 135mm for 700c touring wheels. I know that there has been some question regarding the Centurion frames. The one I have is marked "Champion no. 2 Butted Tubes, Chrome Molyboen steel, Tange Industries LTD." Before I put a touring load on this bike I want to get the experts opinion on the frame and frame material. I purchased the bike from the original owner who rides with our bike group. According to him the bike has less than 500 miles on it and he said it was kept in his garage. It is in good condition. I usually tour with front and rear panniers with a total weight of the panniers and equipment of about 40 pounds. I weigh 195#. The frame is in good condition with no rust or other issues that I can see. Any comments on this frame and materials. Thanks, Rich
