Mountain Biking - New Ryno Lite

Well I should be riding within the week with my totally rebuilt front end. One of the main purchases I made was a Ryno lite. Taking a big risk here as I seem to eat these things for breakfast. But I wanted a cheap rim I could play on and besides Raiyn and Slcpunk talk so highly of them I am giving the ONE more chance. Here is the new front end

z1 fr 2002 qr20
fsa pig dh headset (it was free so why not)
formula qr 20 hub
special dt nipples with loctite built into them (makes for a stronger wheel)
dt spokes aluminum comp
Ryno Lite xl rim
Haye mags for a brake

If this rim warps from basic use so help me I will hurt someone :)..I was trying to save a bit of weight and not sacrifice the strength so I am hoping this does it form me. I just can't wait till next week :)

How much do you weigh? I know guys that top 220 and pound pretty hard and can't break the Rhyno Lites...

Depending on the season between 235 and 255...

I was trying to save a bit of weight and not sacrifice the strength so I am hoping this does it form me.

Sun SingleTrack ; I have been running them for a year now and they handle everything

Also, I just built up some wheels with Azonic OUTLAW rims about 2 months ago. Running low tire pressure and hitting some hard rock landings and they have yet to fail or become out of true. They are also light.

Trying to save weight when you have a known issue with wheels usually isn't a solid plan. As was suggested by dirtbikedude, the SingleTrack would be a better bet for you.
As an aside, it's not so much rider weight as it is rider smoothness when riding.

While I agree about the smoothness issue. Weighing 250 makes a HUGE difference in parts whether you are super smooth or not (cranks, bb's even freewheels). Just a fact of life for rynos :)

I needed a wheel fast the ryno lite was cheap. It is only going on the front where very little pressure is put compared to the rear so it should be fine for a little while :) The singletrack is definately a wheel I will consider if this fails me :)

I think you're gonna be safe with the rhinolyte on the front. I wouldn't advice it for the rear. I tend to kill rear wheels, but my Mavic D321's haven't given me any trouble. I've only killed one front wheel, and that had a lot to do with a drop with too much weight forward, a nose wheelie and a big rock and a lot of pain. I think any rim would've been killed in that situation!

The last time I weighed under 200 was when I was 12...I weighed 150 in grade 4 I think...but I was a ****** :)...

That trip sounded painful...jeez...the nose wheelie would havelooked good though :)

I broke the 100 mark my freshman year of high school, lol.
