Sweet! How much did it cost? Do you need to pay a subscription type thing for the GPS service? If I had some extra money, I'd definitely love something like that.

$350cdn, and a 50usd mail in rebate. It retails for $380usd.
You dont need to pay any subscription, but if you want detailled maps for cities you need to buy the software.
I think my brother has the software, so i might get it off him

Make sure you get good data, especially since your from Canada. I know the data can be terrible up there from some vendors, and if you don't have good data, those things will lose their purpose.

I use one for search and rescue, geocaching, and backpacking. Topographical software is priceless.

They dont ship to canada, and even if they did, dealing with customs and the extra shipping costs wouldve negated the savings.

I so don't need one of those. But I want one.
We have one too. Bf just bought one a few months back. He really likes it. You'll enjoy it for sure.

Nice. The Cx is the one with the slot for an SD card right? I wish my Legend C had that. I'm really limited to the amount of maps i can put into the meagar 21mb of extra memory. Even so i consider my Legend the most useful tool i've bought myself in the last year. I never go anywhere on my motorcycle with out it. I only take it with me on the bicycle if im riding a route ive never been on before so i can download the tracks and create a route later.
I bought the North America City Naviagtor software in a bundle deal with Garmin's USB laptop GPS unit. It was cheaper to buy it that way then to just buy the software by itself. The base maps that are built into the handheld units are too broad. If you dont get the software from your brother, do yourself a favor and just buy it. Its worth it.
