Next time there is a knock on the door.

An internet user has been found guilty of what police said was Britain's first "web-rage" attack.

Paul Gibbons, 47, tracked down John Jones using details obtained online after the pair exchanged insults in an internet chatroom, a court heard.

He travelled 70 miles to Mr Jones' home in Clacton, Essex, and beat him up with a pickaxe handle in December 2005.

Think! Who have you offended.

Would this happen anywhere else?

Just one of the reasons I am extremely careful about exposure as to who I actually am!

This is why I miss living in Britain--the civility. Here, he would have brought a gun.

Here, his victim might've greeted him w/ a shotgun on the porch.

Rather than hiding who I am, I just try to avoid making statements that I may be called upon to defend on the field of honor or my own front porch.

If you can't see that a man getting out of a car with a bloody pickaxe handle and stalking up your drivewalk is not boding for good things, you need a good beating.

Oh, I agree there, but I get a lot of exposure from blogging and I try to avoid the "Crazies", if ya know what I mean! I keep my offline life as seperate as possible with very few people knowing enough about ne to find me due to a couple of web stalkers and a lot of "Hate mail" that I get via my public email. It seems that some people can't seem to stand seeing someone make the turnaround I have healthwise. I blog under a pseudonym, precisely forthis reason. I keep my real name concealed, not because I'm a flame warrior, but because I get attacked by them!:D
