How easy it to crack a frame on the bike? you crash on a steep rocky downhill and the bike just freefalls down it and gets cracked? Or you crack it on a sick jump and just slam too hard?

usually one big hit wont do it.

it's years of fatigue or riding a bike like it shouldnt have been.

Cracks can occur if the frame is steel, and the frame has major rust issues.

Cracks can occure for all kinds of reasons. But i think you really have to stress a frame for a long time, or really hard one time to hurt it.

9/10 times, i think your bones will break before the frame does.

Interesting. So what is the reasoning behind a downhill bike being heavier than xc bike?

Long travel puts more stress on the frame, so you need more gussetting.

Cracks can occur on a bike frame for many reasons. It all depends on what material and types of bike it is tho. ANd the way its ridden, etc
