Mountain Biking - A couple of pics of my "rig" after my ride.

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Its was wet but not too cold in the mid-Michigan area. I could concentrate anymore at school. So I hit the trail. I went by myself so I dont have any action shots yet. Enjoy. Sorry if they're a little blury looking. I'm not very good at holding the camera still.

haha! I know. I put that on there until I get my camelpack. Its on order. I went the other day with no water and I thought I was going to die. There arent too many big logs with out a ramp over them. It was still in tack after todays ride.
how you load the c-dale on that car?

In the back right now. I have a thule "big mouth" on order. It mounts on top with both wheels on. Its a tight fit right now but it'll do for a few more days. If I didnt want the "big mouth", thule makes an adapter to use the velo vise with the lefty shock. I dont really want to deal with taking the wheel off a lot.
yea that's what i thought too cuz the trays on your car are fork mounts and last time i checked, lefty is not qs with regular hub =P
just wondering

Thanks. I bought it to beat the crap out of it, not keep it in the garage and clean. :)
Oh yeah, the bottle got really dirty. I just wiped it off before I drank any water.

I have a water bottle that has a cover. Keeps the mud and crap off the nozzle.

so true...
it's same as like... you're hanging outside Taipei 101 with an inch thick reinforced steel cable (which is impossible for it to break consider you dont weight more than a few hundred tons) but you wont do it cuz it's just so freakin' freaky!!:(

A long time ago, I had a Nishiki Ariel with an under-the-downtube bottle mount. I thought it would be a great place to mount one of those new-fangled Instaflate CO2 inflators. While attempting to hop a log, I misjudged my speed (or rather lack thereof) and slammed the downtube on top of said log. The Instaflate took the hit and its casing smashed into little pieces. However, in the process, the CO2 cartridge somehow got punctured and shot away from the bike like a rocket. Luckily it missed me and the people that were around me.

my son got Giardia from a local swimming pool that was contaminated.
"SWEET" would not be the choicest of words I would use to describe it, or the length of time and tests required to diagnose it.
I would probably go with something like "REALLY, REALLY ABSOLUTELY FU#@ING DISGUSTINGLY SICK". That describes it a little better.

Uh, that was sarcasm.

yeah...it's my favorite kind of chocolate!
Nice Cannondale you got there. Lefty still looks weird but I road one before and its really just the same. You keep thinking you are going to fall over tho.
For those who thinks that water bottle cage is at a weird place, I have an Ellsworth ISIS now and its the same. God knows why the put it there but there is no where else to put it on this kind of frame besides behind the saddle but thats for road bikes and if you go offroad, the bottle will usually fall out.
But if you guys think the cage at the bottom is a weird design, you guys should check out the Marin Mount Vision frame. The cage goes on the TOP TUBE.
My bike looked dirtier than that after my road commute in this morning. Come back when you've got something really messy. :D
That seems like a sweet bike to have.

The bike is a brown color and hides a lot of the dirt. I guess I didnt get good enough pics. I'm going to go out again in a little while. Maybe I'll post more.
