Hi All,
I've posted this in a couple of places to get the word out to gauge interest. I'm already doing twilight rides and basically would like some company. That pretty much the motivation for trying to organise a regular weeknight ride after dark. Safety in numbers and all that jazz....
The ride will meet for sure Tues/Thurday no earlier than 5:30pm at the Three Brothers restaurant in Columbia. I'd prefer to meet up around the corner at my office, but for now 3Brothers is eaiser to find. It's right on the corner of Snowden River Parkway and Berger Road. Very convienient to Rt-32, Rt-29 and I-95. If some are interested and need time to get to the
meet up place PM so i gauge interest and determine if a later start time is necessary.
It goes without saying a good 10w or brighter headlight with 2hrs+ burn time and a flashing tailight are minimum. A safety vest and a rear view mirror are recommended.
The ride im doing for now is a 23 mile loop around of Columbia with about 900ft total of climbing. The pace is moderate as im just doing base miles for now. I plan to do this the rest of the year and will add miles or change roads as necessary to keep it interesting.
I also have a 40 miler route i do on Wed.
Im going to do this all fall/winter until after the new year. So long as there is no snow on the ground.
