Don't start with me Corey. We're going to trackstand and drink High Life under the bridge in Rosa Park. LOL.

You make riding bicycles no fun. If the weather doesn't suck I'll be down there. It takes me almost 40 mins to get downtown...I'm not going to make the drive unless it's a sure thing.

Calm down, Todd. I'll ride or drink beer under a bridge...both sound fun to me. Radar looks like it is going to be possibly raining on you in Largo when you get home but only a possible slight drizzle down here soon...the sun is shining right now. I am probably going up to the shop and 6:30 or so rain or shine.

sinkFLsink
06-20-07, 04:27 PM
LOL, Corey knows what's up!

Yeah, it's raining here now. I'm going to eat a pb&j and see how it looks in about 20 mins.

Did everyone get a chance to see that handsome guy in the paper today?
(and I don't mean Juan, though handsome himself)
Online readers were robbed of the photo.
Don't worry... copies are being made.
My hand modeling days are about to begin.

tonight i'm riding my bike to my buddies house and this truck starts to slow as it passes me...i think "sh*t, this dude is going to start something". instead of that happenening, he sticks his head out the window to say "is that one of the single speeds i read about in the paper? i road race and need to try one of those things". newspaper article was apparently well received.

vas jr.
06-21-07, 09:05 AM
Joe...Sorry, I didn't see that post until after I left work. I'll bring the grinder to the shop today. Apparently you were in there yesterday when I was there...I did see your bike and thought it had a purty paint job but I didn't make the connection until after we left.

Todd...I don't have one of those new fangled cellular telephone things. Did you come out here? We left the shop just before 7.

Todd...I don't have one of those new fangled cellular telephone things. Did you come out here? We left the shop just before 7.

Yeah, I got there at 7:03PM. Whatever, I cruised around town for like 30mins and then packed up and went home. A serious waste of gas. I'm done with trying to plan to come out there and meet up with people. Maybe it's my fault for not living downtown, but I'm done with driving 40mins to ride. If I want to ride downtown and there happens to be people around great, but I'm not setting up anymore rides and I'm not commiting to being at any rides. Pretty sure I'm feeling what Corey was a few months ago when we all went ghost on like 3 planned rides in a row. I think I'm going to stick to riding in Clearwater/Largo for a while.

i figured like around 8:30, 9-ish... cruise around, get a ride in and then hit up the Cider house or.... Limey's, or something... besides the Emerald. we'll probably be there (the emerald) all weekend, so i'd like to avoid it tonight.

Corey and Todd: I got your messages, but my phone's keypad is on the fritz, so i'll reply here.

Corey: No I haven't given up on St. Pete man. I'm trying to make it to the race and party this weekend, but some crazy nasty is going on with my life... so I might just make it for the race on Sunday. I might not be able to race because i'm have **** luck with my knees working properly, but I totally want to be there and help out or just look hott. :D

Good luck Michael and everyone. Hope to see you guys soon.

Todd, Todd, Todd. Sorry we didn't wait a couple minutes longer.

1. I really don't think it takes 40 minutes to get to st. pete...but whatever...a definate waste of petroleum.

2. Posting that you might ride and then being wishy-washy about whether you will be there or not does not constitute planning to ride or meet up with folks.

3. I might buy an Iphone but until then you have to get in touch with me at work, at the yacht club, or through my girl's phone.

4. If you want to get these t-shirt designs done...pm me. My girl and you could work for an afternoon and then you could go get screens made and "print" them yourself.

5. Relax...I know you have been working a lot...but we should all have fun tomorrow.

Jeff...I was riding a aluminum oxide primer green conversion. Sorry if your bro couldn't keep up. Also, when you said super rare bianchi pista I really thought you had an old pista like luke's eco pista (I guess sarcasm doesn't come through in text).

Tampa Robb...How is I-275??

Mike...So, so famous. Mad congrats on the article...you are big time now.

Jamey....Thanks!!!...I would have totally dropped that DVD at Ken's shop today. How did the bottom bracket job go??

MondoMike...Let's Ride (no spandex thought it scares me!!) I think you are right about that wheel...oh welll. I am just going to ride it untill it breaks.

All...I am in Palm Harbor (quite suburban) and am going to do a road bike ride to Ozona/Crystal Beach right now. I'll see you all at the emerald mananas.

06-21-07, 06:25 PM
Sorry that I haven't made the commitment to St Pete as of late, folks. I keep getting offers to ride Tampa during the week and it's a lot easier for me to ride out my front door and be in downtown Tampa in five minutes than it is to fight I-275 traffic to get to 'da Burg. I now have two new guys in Tampa that I got riding on a regular basis, but this doesn't mean I've forgotten about you St Pete guys. Also weekends are always easier to make the drive, ya know ...

You know I love you Todd; don't be angry.

sinkFLsink
06-21-07, 07:33 PM
I'm not angry...just dealing with some things and whatever. This forum has become a f'ing b1tch fest. We mind as well start planning tea parties for all the estrogen floating around. I probably wouldn't show up though.

Listen up... My IRO from the group buy is ready. It's a flat black 1" threaded 56 frame w/fork set. With deposit, s&h and the remaining final amount due it will cost me only $167.65. I know there has been some interest from a few people on here that would like to take this off my hands (I don't want it now). I'm not looking to make a profit, So if anyone wants to buy it for $167.65 let me know. I need the money up front as I don't want to shell out any extra money while saving for the CA trip.I'd also like to sell it within the next few days. No PMs, just post if you want it.

All... Thanks for the article congrats. Corey sent the guy my way and it evolved into a little piece on the shop. Thank you Corey.
About the party, I've had so much people coming in, I'm kinda worried I didn't have time to do anything with it. Anybody got any "entertainment" to bring, feel free.
Who knows a juggler? I'd bring some Guacamole but I remember Castanza's double dipping issue.

The wheel I built for the race looks badass. Get your fast twitch muscles ready. First one to my shop wins it.

If you are in town early, before the Emerald, come check out Chris' Bare Knuckle build in progress.
He's picked out a really cool scheme.

Alright, see ya'll tomorrow.

Just so you know, when that wheel fails, and it will
The rim will fold, your fork will dig into the road
When it does, your new carbon fork will snap
Then your head will hit the road at warp 10
Seeing you don't wear a brainbucket
Your head will be the only thing stopping your impact

I don't know you that well,
but i don't want to see you in a box
anytime soon

Thanks Mike. I was thinking about reinforcing the spoke nipple holes with epoxy and then painting the wheel and using it on my conversion. Do you think that would be workable or do you think I shouldn't take the risk? I used my head to stop my forward momentum once on a skateboard and I really don't want to do it again!

Joe, michael said you should do this for party entertainment. i say you should do this in the best trick contest. this was one of the slickest, most graceful things i've ever seen. you rolled to a stop and simply laid down with the bike still attached to you. plus you did this without any of it making a sound. amazing.

Thanks,
