No 24 hour race in Atlanta for me...I have a lot going on at work the following week and I figure it would take some time to recover. Besides, the doc gave me a scrip for 10 ml of eye drops that cost 25 dollars, so for that price it should clear it up pretty quick.

It's about 35 miles from my house to the university, and I ride it in about two hours. The ride is fun until I get to Tampa. Bayshore to Florida isn't bad, but 40th street to USF blows donkeys.

Im still offering my truck, I have room for 1 1/2 people and several bikes. I also forgot to mention that I have a trailor. Its the rear end of a rabbit pickup, so it could carry several bikes. We could just use the trailor behind the van also.

ron is his name. hes a sort of... collector, business man. he has all sorts of things, and hes a bit of a shut in the way I understand it. vws are just a small part. what Im saying is, you wont get too far with him on the phone. its better just to go see what he has, cause you never know what he forgot to mention. if you still want his # though, Ill give it to you over the phone. these are my options so far:

I have a tacoma extended cab good for me+1 1/2. I also have a trailor. this makes mucho roomo for bicyclos. I can leave at any time friday, earlier the better though. I estimate tacoma gas cost at $120-150 total. Im also down to rent a 12 passenger van from AVIS for $400 + aprox $200 gas, and tow my trailor with the van. If anyone is interested in riding, speak up.

Sleeping arrangements are in the works. You'll have floor space somewhere. Hopefully a huge loft downtown. And you're welcome to set up a tent or something in my backyard during the race to have a place to crash (my house is literally two houses down from Johnny's).
