Sleeping arrangements are in the works. You'll have floor space somewhere. Hopefully a huge loft downtown. And you're welcome to set up a tent or something in my backyard during the race to have a place to crash (my house is literally two houses down from Johnny's).
::edit:: Oh, and do no girls ride in Florida? For serious...
Carol, Todd and Star are girls.

doh. I missed the Carol on the list.
awesome!
And I say that you shouldn't call your team the mustache riders...cheese-tastic and unoriginal.

Hey guys. I posted some bikes on your area's Craigslist and then started chatting with some people. I think Tom, sorry I had a lot of emails that day. Anyways it was cool to see that you guys have a solid scene up there. I was up to see Two Gallants a week ago. We're pretty small down here. Implants and Blowouts screw up a riders balance, so that pretty much counts all the guys and gals down here out.
Interesting thing for you to consider...our Velodrome can be rented for $1000 a day. The place is suffering financially, so I would guess it could be even less.
Good Luck in Atlanta, or maybe that just passed; if so hope it was a blast.

I need someone with a screen printer that would be willing to do a very small run of t-shirts (30-40 black t-shirts with two color ink) at a fairly reasonable "cheap" price. I have the shirts already and just need the printer now. Please PM me with contact info. I'd like to get this done within the next week. Thank You.

Hey,
I need last names of all Atlanta riders ASAP.
As well as the gender you plan on being Sept. 8th.
If you know yours, pm or email me it.
If you know someone else's as well, include all.
Thank you.

Happy Monday, everyone.
This ought to brighten your day:
HOT SEAT: St. Petersburg, FL (near Tampa, FL)
Café Alma: Robb Hohmann
You can set your clocks by the Café Alma. The business lunch crowd darkens its doors at noon, foodies and wine aficionados indulge from about five to eight, and hipsters close out the night. Local Robb Hohmann, who often cruises over for the cheap beer specials, might be considered a bit of each. He rides his bike 35 miles across Tampa Bay to get to his day job, shows films on a backyard projector for a measure of culture, and in his spare time organizes “Alley Cat” races—alcohol fueled bike-messenger style jaunts through cities. He cools off at the Café which serves up European specialties, live gypsy jazz and DJ’s, and an interesting cross-section of St. Petersburg culture.
DOOR: The entrance is actually below street level, one flight of stairs down from the sidewalk. “I’ve never seen a cover charge. But even if there were you could probably just sit outside and drink on the patio.”
DRINK: “Stella, Guinness, and the occasional vodka and tonic. Sangria’s great too. They do a lot of wine early on but by the time I usually get here, that crowd’s all gone.” A build-your own Bloody Mary bar fortifies the Saturday brunch, and stately espresso martinis are always well received by the ladies.
DÉCOR: “It’s all local artists on the walls, and it changes every few months. All of it’s for sale. I’ve seen metal sculpture, pop art, artsy black and white photos, everything.”
DRESS: “For dinner time you’d want to look sharp. Later on it doesn’t really matter, but you might feel uncomfortable in shorts and a t-shirt.” If you really want to blend in after-hours, wear a tight t-shirt and tighter jeans, and make sure your hair looks like you slept on it all night.
I'm laughing, but sad inside.

Robb...you're such a hipster sangria drinking wine aficionado with tight shirts and tighter jeans who drives your car to your day job.
Everyone...If anybody knows somewhere I can get an extra large chainring (60 teeth or bigger) with 144 BCD, please, please let me know. This is a really long shot but who knows?
TheRobbStory
08-27-07, 09:35 AM
I told him to put something in there about my humidor and leather-bound books, but he said that'd be pushing it too far.
I don't think a chainring that large exists in track spacing. For the folding bike, I assume?
Also, after this morning's proceedings, I am no longer a criminal. You are all free to buy me drinks in celebration.

Yeah the folding bike has a 49X14 ratio but that gets really slow with 20" wheels.
I think 60 tooth rings exist but probably not any larger. Michael said campy still makes a 60 but that would probably be about 200 dollars. I may just have to settle for a 55 tooth sugino ring.

Casey's last name... no idea.
That's it, and we be ready to go. Fees are paid. Volunteer slots are picked.
And team names are posted on 66Fixed.

I don't want to say it Matt...but Bicycle Express over on US19 probably has the old 60 tooth Campy chainrings. I sort of remember him pulling out a box of NOS Campy stuff that had LARGE chainrings in it. Might be worth the trip over there. As much as I dislike sending business his way. Oh yeah, while you're there... pick me up that Cinelli frameset in the back corner. I'll pay you back!

A few of us on here (Aaron, Luke, etc.) have all had conversations with the owner. He's a little high on himself and what he thinks he has in there. He's nice, but a little sketchy too. This is the guy that was putting "Going out of business sale" posts on Craigslist to get people in his store and would then say he wasn't going out of business when you go in to ask him what's on sale.
Yeah, I'd love that frame... I just don't have the $1300 or whatever he's asking for it. LOL. Check it out when you go in there though... SO NICE! It's in the back right corner of the left hand side of the shop (last time I was there).

that guy at bicycle express also has cases of new/old stock turbo saddles. we got him down to $60 from $150. Just take a lot of time and don't buy anything and suddenly everything gets a lot less expensive. That guy has been sitting on so much inventory for so long that its sickening. I don't know how the bills get paid with what he's got laying around for 20 years.
