I have a Marzocchi MX Comp on my Trek 3700 - it's a good, reasonably priced part.
100mm is the most you want to go on that frame. I have a RockShox Duke on my 4300 and have no complaints.

I'm happy with my Marzocchi 2005 EXR (105mm travel). $158.28 here (http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=7697), probably cheaper if you're in the US.
Here's a fairly recent picture (one in signature is way outta date). It doesn't reflect my riding position since this pic I've changed out the stem (and bars for that matter), and the saddle is set too low also (I greased the seatpost a little :))
