On my aluminum hybrid frame, one of the two (rivets) on the seat stays for the rear rack attatchment is officially Stripped. The external flange is even spinning when trying to install a larger screw to maybe alleviate the problem.. PLEASE..ANY SUGGESTIONS?

Use a P-clip to attach your rack to the seatstay instead.

Knock it out or pry it out with a pair of pliers. Becareful it could be a booger to remove if it slips inside. Then replace it with a new one. And you are good to go.

If it will hold a bolt at all you can re-crimp the outer flange. Find a small socket (1/4" drive that fits the flange, use a longer bolt & washer through the socket, tighten, the socket will push on the flange & crimp it down. If the threads are completely stripped this obviously won't work. Removing rivnuts without losing it inside the frame is not easy.

I found a pro who will attempt that feat, otherwise,I"ll try "crimping" it down and use a fatter bolt.. THANKS TO ALL RESPONDS
