meet in balboa park aroung the big fountain (in front of the Reuben Fleet Science Center), at the end of El Prado Blvd.

yes, sometimes SD's CM have been annoying and drama-laden in the past. but lately, with 100+ riders, the rides have been smooth and problem-free. if you haven't been in a while, you should give it another chance! if you've never been, come check it out! bring friends, ride safe.

I'm psyched to know there's some other folks so open to knew riders. I was supposed to have my fixed-gear two days ago, but it's not quite ready.

Any other SD rides coming up in December other than CM (on the school schedule and I'll be gone for break)? I'd like to get a night ride in before the year ends.

"Why **** Christmas? Well because frankly... **** CHRISTMAS. Holiday shopping, cheer and spirit don't got **** on the Electric Warriors. This month we are meeting at Balboa Park at 10pm, not Vons... so take note. Meet at the large fountain at approximately 10pm and roll with us through the streets of San Diego dressed in your worst Christmas Sweater! We will be ridding in mass to the park behind the Kensington Library on Adams Ave. Once we arrive we will be playing Red Rover and Duck Duck Goose as well as awarding a prize to the person with the ..Worst.. aka BEST Christmas Sweater. After that, for those who would like to continue we will be taking a tour of the Christmas lights in the Kensington neighborhood and then continuing downtown to the ice skating ring at Horton Plaza. It's because you guys actually ride. The rest of us just sit at our computers in our underpants oogling photos of other bikes people don't actually ride.

CM was pretty awesome this time up. I think SD now has new blood in it's heart and more ***** is happening.

The last CM I went to had may be 5 fixies. There were at least 20 this time.

Cops and Robbers was legendary according to several.

I'm looking for more to happen.

holy hell @ friday night!

was it big? i was gonna but i saw "meet and greet" so i was like ehhhhhhhh but from what i heard it was crazy. gimme the dirt!

The "Ides" was pretty rad. Unorganized and a little chaotic, but still lots of fun. A pretty long and brutal course (that cyclocross descent was nuts), with some skid and trick fun at the end. I dug it!

Remember: Fixed ride tonight (Tuesday) meets at Adams Ave. Bikes at 7 pm. It's fun!

I officially become a San Diegon next week (well, la jolla, technically).

This week, I want to drink. I'm coming down tonight to take care of some ****, and I would like to drink and ride bikes and drink. Anyone down? I've been to one bar in north park (I forget what it was called), and I would like to see more.

By the by, I made my way to a couple bike shops today (Adams, Ye Olde, Pedal Pusher) but hands fcking down, Sky at Velo Culture is the ABSOLUTE COOLEST GUY EVER.

Within 2 minutes of walking in, he OFFERS ME A BEER, then proceeds to blow my fcking mind with a bike, which will be my next (pictures after I purchase it).

But yeah, do you go to UCSD? I do. Let's ride the *** out of some bikes.

Tuesday night fixie rides from AA Bikes are postponed until further notice! Bummer. It's the opening night of track season next Tuesday, and that kinda overshadows a lot of enthusiasm. But if people still wanna ride on a regular basis, we'll make it another night. No big.

has anybody been riding in critical mass, electric warriors or any other rides? seems like everything has died out since the rubber rose and mustachuary etc (both of which i had missed).

does anybody ride after the velo races? it seems like there's such a big group there it'd be a cool thing to do. the last two weeks folks have been hanging around for awhile. it seems like if we left together it'd be a legit group ride.

yeah i kinda got over a lot of the rides. i dunno, it was cool at first. i don't dislike going, i just don't make a point to head down there much. plus they have a lot of rides going on so the few don't seem so special.



i heard at the april mass some punks were being jerks and messing with cars too much. lame. so it goes.

kyle- i would go, but i'm gonna be on a surf trip. fyi- they are doing the exact route i did on my bday ride. it was over 25 miles, fun as hell.

I might go depending on how it feels. I get the cast off tommorrow.
