Hello everyone,
Just back from a lovely three days riding singletrack in Wales. My 2004 Caldera treated me very well, but I did find the fork lacking, despite my relative newness to mountain biking. I'm thinking of upgrading to a 2006 or used model larger fork, but I wouldn't mind some input. :)
How large can I go? I've found a few good deals on forks such as the Marzocchi All mountain 2 (130-150mm travel) or 3 (130mm travel). Would such a large change in fork length create huge geometry issues? Can this be compensated for somehow? The bike would be used for trail, singletrack, "careful" DH, and general urban messing about.
I am set on sticking with this bike for the present, learning how to ride properly, and then buying a new full sus possibly end of next year...
