View Full Version : Brake Booster
I'm curious would these help the breaking on a cyclocross bike with cantilever brakes?

A brake booster really just reinforces the frame when the brake arms try to push it outward when the brake is applied. Unless your frame is experiencing a lot of flex which could rob some of the brake power then you are probably not going to notice a big difference. There is a reason why these devices never caught on in the really mainstream cycling scene. If you want more power then get v brakes and use some travel agents to make them work with your road levers.

Never noticed any flex, I was just curious.
