as long as the fit is good, its worth the 150 bucks.

A lot better than my trainer - - pristine 70s-vintage Schwinn Traveler . . . that I got at a moving sale for $5. Bound to be someone willing to pay more than I did.

Well, the kid came home from school, and he thinks:
1. ORANGE!! How could you?!? (I like orange)
2. STEEL? It will wiegh a ton!! (which I thought was good for training), and
3. Tube Shifters? Spoken like a true modern day MTBer.....

Sorry - - I misunderstood thought you were looking to sell. Ahhhh, the Kid's quibbling. I'd buy it.
1. ORANGE? - Tell him orange is the new matte black.
2. STEEL? - Heavy trainers on the road will make him a man.
3. Tube shifters? - He's young and limber; suck it up.

Weeks - Oh, he grudgingly thanked me.... realizing that since I bought it now he has to pony up at least half on a new MTB frame. For a kid who wants Industry 9 wheels with pink spokes, I just can't understand the orange thing, though!

I'd trade my current ultegra "brifters" for the old, friction, campy downtube shifters that were on my first road bike anyday.

Trump him with the 'retro' card -

I actually did! He's not really buying it, though.... That, plus orange is way more visable on the road.

Anyway, got some info from the roady forum about moving the shifters, but I think he''l at least have to try the levers before moving them.
