I have been doing a lot of walking, but will get my bike out shortly, I have a muscle pull, well not quite a muscle pull, but when I walk, it feels like I could fall on the next step, I can feel the muscle ready to pull, is there anything I can do.

Which muscle is giving you the pain? If you don't know the name, can you describe the location of the pain and the type of pain you're feeling- short and sharp, dull, etc.?

Hi Koffee, the muscle that is giving me the pain is in the front of the leg, from where it bends, to the knee cap, it feels like it could pull soon, if it did it would probably be ok, it just takes a long time to pull that 's all.

You may need to consult a doctor and get a referral for a physical therapist.

See my PM I just sent to you.

Koffee, I think what I have is a calf muscle cramp, any way to get rid of this?

I don't think you have a calf muscle cramp- the calves are in the lower half of the leg, in the back of the leg, not the front as you described. However, I see you have an article you've found that will probably help. Try that and let us know what happens with their instructions.

i know you have found a cure, but it sounds like shin splints. You say that you have been walking a lot, and if you have just increased your activity level from nil to alot, shin splints are not only probable, but likey to appear even walking.
