this is a good thread danny. too bad everyone is too lazy to comment.
any idea when gainesville is by the way??
ATL Broken Hearts is Feb 24th.
Tampa/St. Pete kids are looking to do one in February as well.. hopefully early Feb. Sounds like they could get some good stuff going on down there.
We're not kids.
Yes, we would like to start organizing something in early February.
Try to make it the weekend of the 16-18th.. Cause I'm going to Orlando on the 16th for a concert.. that way I could come down on Saturday.
Yes, Robb, I want you to organize the whole race according to my schedule. duh!
If you act like a kid, doesn't that make you a kid?
I'm a kid.
13yo 4 lyfe!
Edit: And I have to convince these weirdos down here to have it before Feb. That way I can participate.
I want to flyer as well!
I think Gainesville was going to do something in or around mid to late January, but you know how unreliable we are... So, you know, keep the whole first three months open (I kid, I kid!).
Tour de Trampa, *****es. C'mon Robb. Way easy. Davis Island, to downtown Tampa, to Ybor. Easy ****. Already have a flyer idea in the works and photoshopping in my boredom ...

While I could see this happening, I feel that a drag race across the 275 bridge from Tampa to St. Pete would be more appropriate. Maybe we could see some dolphins.
I cross that damn bridge twice a day.
I've heard of people riding across it at night on the shoulder. The Gandy may be a more viable option, as there is no vehicular traffic.
Scew it, let's do that one that goes from St. Pete down to the south, where it turns into that suspension bridge in the middle and it climbs 500 feet over the same linear distance.
Yeah, who's got a 32 tooth chainring and a 22 tooth cog I can borrow?
I'm done interfering with your race plans now. I'm sorry.

and if you do the friendship trail thing at night it will have that punk/f*ck authority feel since it's illegal to ride at night. just thinking about it gets me all amped!

You're not the Jamey with the Circle A, are you?

i wish that was me. there's a jamey in st. pete that rides a circle a?!

Well, no, I guess there isn't. There's a Jamey someplace in or around Florida who I think might have been moving to Gainesville this month. Just seeing if I knew you yet.

gotcha. i did live in gainesville but still no circle a.

Kinda like that time you and Danny rode to Treasure Island and YOU were the only one who got hassled by the cops? ;)
The Friendship Trail has a 108 year old security guard parked at each end. I've researched the possibility of a night-time crossing extensively. My only fear is that if the first security guard spots you hopping the fence, there may be po-po waiting for you by the time you get to Tampa. This is a problem for me, as a police encounter would result in my imprisonment.

i haven't heard anything definite about january from anybody, but february's gonna be jumpin.
february for southeasterners -
10th or 11th (i think) - tallentine's day (or whatever it ends up being called)
18th - monster track road trip!
25th - broken hearts/bike parts 3 in ATL
with threats of races in tampa and gainesville.
i can't wait!!!
Looks like the HorroH alleycat will be pushed back to March. We want to make sure you Tally, Jax, Gain and ATL folks are plenty notified and rested to get your slow *****es down here for the 1st alleycat out here.
Woah woah woah...road trip to NYC?! I blew my February travel budget on a ticket to NY for Jan 10-15. If you guys are renting a van and driving up, I will definitely throw down. Depending on how many are going, I can find us plenty of places to stay for free in the city, too. Holler at me.
Sweet! I would want to go also.
How much money would you estimate on this costing Danny?
If you guys need racks for the van...don't depend on Luke and Robb to get them for you. I'm just saying.
Give me back my hummus platter, Todd. You're dead to me.
alright you florida mother effers... I'll be back in town for a week starting tomorrow. I'll be making a trip to Piccolo velodrome and to Business Cycles. I'm pretty sure I won't have a bike with me but that's alright I'm going to be bringing my pedals, shoes, a couple chain-rings, some chain, and my bars/stem to fix the loaner bikes to my liking... hmmm maybe my saddle too . Anyway, I hope to see some of ya'll there. PM me if anybody can make it down for the trip to the velodrome.
I may be at Piccolo/BC on Friday. A friend of mine will be in town from San Diego for the holiday. We've tentatively planned a night of heavy drinking/dancing in the street, but I do plan to hit up my state's only drome during the day.
PM me your number and I'll see if we can meet up... I'll see if some of my old friends still have any connections at dance/drunk night things in miami. Anybody else? Mike, It would be nice to see you again if you can make it.

PS - we miss you

yeahhh...buttttt that was different? i know a few people that have done the ride to tampa at night and it's usually totally chill even if the guard is trying to hassle you..since he's 108 years old and all.
Well then let's do it up, focker.
I still can't quite figure out how it's the SAME 108 year old security guard at BOTH ends. I guess it's all string theory anyway.
Last time I bug everybody with this, I swear.
Gainesville on January 20th. It sounds like it'll be a good time, and hopefully well attended. I hope to see lots of smiling faces I don't already know, and a bunch I do.
