Hi everyone,
I am thinking about cutting a 56 cm frame and turn it into a 52 cm frame. I'm wondering what i have to watch out for when i'm doing this.
This will be my first frame mod, or chop. It is a lugged frame, an old bridgestone.
Any words of advise or help would be great.
Thanks in advance
Kenny

Measure twice, cut once.
That's the only thing I know. I've never done anytihng like that. Sounds like lots of fun though!
more trouble than it's worth. especially if it's a bridgestone of any value.

Agree.
It's WAY less work to just build a new frame from scratch. Call Joe Bringheli, he will sell you a complete tubeset with lugs, dropouts, etc. for about $150. Considering the amount of time you are going to put into it, the money is a non factor.
