I picked up a set of Empella Frogglegs today for my cross bike. The front brakes went on without any trouble. But I can't get the back ones to work. I've got the cantilevers on and the cables attached. The problem is that there is not enough room for the pads. I even tried the Koolstop pads that I had on the old cantis, and although they are smaller than the pads that came with the Frogglegs, they still don't fit.
Anyone else have this problem? Should I modify the pads to fit? Do they make low profile pads for cantilevers? Is it possible that these brakes just won't work with my frame? I appreciate any help. Thanks. I 've attached some photos of the rear brake setup sans pads.
