Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - saddle won't fit thomson elite seatpost

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. so i just got my new thomson elite seatpost and i tried to put my selle italia ldy gel flow saddle on it and...it seems that the rails are set too far apart for the clamp. is this possible? has anyone else had this problem? does anyone know which saddles DO fit the thomson elite seatpost?
thaaaanks!
(the rails are manganese, by the way.)

that happened with my brooks. doesn't the rails eventually come closer together near the front part of the seat. u might have to put the clamp closer to the front part of the seat.

Yah, put it on the front, tighten it a bit, then push/slap the seat forward until it's where you want it.

do exactly that. clamp it at the front and then bend your rails untill it fits.
p.s.
do this with steel or TI rails.

Force them in unless it's a LOT of difference. I'd nonchalantly bend 3mm on either side. 5mm on either side would already sound iffy. Return the saddle if it's horrendous. They are supposed to be the same standard, only keirin saddlyes differ in spacing.
