TC is great, very unique sound. Similar to Gotan Priject, St Germaine, Jazzanova.... just cool

Neko doesn't appear in the video, though you can certainly hear her vocal. Odd vid, too, but it's pretty funny and also features an appearance by David Cross, an excellent comic.

4th Floor! They're a local band, and they kick arse! Three of the guys in the band were friends in my class.

A few of their songs are on the myspace page. Influences are AC/DC, Mudvayne, Shinedown, etc. A great variety of songs and some great covers too. And they're awesome to watch in person! They'll be opening for Papa Roach some time in November.

The most obscure for me is, King Diamond/Mercyful Fate. Metal.

OHHH YESSSS! Did you see Everything is Illuminated? The lead singer was in that and the band had a tiny part. Super cool movie. Super cool band.

Not necessarily one of my favorites but I have read about them.

The have been around for about 6 years. This is their 4th album (How We Operate) it was released in July. Their 3 previous albums were more electronic. Even though they are a British band, this album has an American sound with several songs mentioning American culture.

That's Dan Bejar's band - he's in the New Pornographers with Neko Case and Carl (A.C.) Newman (check out a.c.'s solo album - "the slow wonder" - it's great)

Tilly and the Wall: Awsome folk/pop fun.

Muse: This trio flat out rocks. I can't believe that big of a sound can be made by 3 people.

Imogen Heap / Frou Frou: The most emotional electronic muisc ever. Frou Frou was Imogen Heap and Guy Sigsworth, now Imogen is on her own, and is fantastic.

OK Go: They were pretty much unknown until this summer, then their low-budget music videos got really popular. I have liked them since their first album.

I have seen Muse and Imogen live. I need to see OK Go and Tilly and the Wall. All of these bands put on great shows.

Muse was epic. The crowd was a moshing, stinking, raw mass of humanity. Loud as heck, and totally awesome.

Imogen was amazing, because it was in a bar, about 200 people, and I was about 6 feet away from her. Quiet, intimate show. She's funny too.

I really want to see Tilly and OK Go, because they just have so much fun energy, and the band members are also very cool people.
