Hello everyone!

I am new here so please excuse me if my question has already been asked 1 million times. I already checked the search engine but I didn't get the specific information that I need, so I am risking this question!
What do you think the worst and cheapest and generally bad quality BMX brand is? And which is the best? I need this for a story that I'm writing in which one character has a really bad second-hand bike (but she thinks it's the greatest) and another character has this great bike that is really expensive and has a whole bunch of accessories. Thank you so much for your help!

Worst: Poverty
Best: Sunday, Fit, Animal, Tree, etc.

you forgot odyssey

FitRider 921

Odyssey is included in the etc.

There are a lot of good brands.

KinetikBiker

My personal favorites:
Solid, Odyssey, S&M, T1 and Tree.

My least favorite is Poverty and most companys that just make the same stuff everyone else is making, instead of coming up with new ideas.

Like DMR

Favorite: Shadow, Tree, Odyssey, Sunday!, and The Take. If the take had a frame in my size, I would do anything to get it.

FitRider 921

I always wanted a Take frame... until I saw Sunday!

wethepeople

I've actually been looking for ways I could replace the Macneil with a One True Ave frame, but I need another job or a cheaper truck :(.

Even with a cheaper truck I would need another job :(.

FitRider 921

You like just got your Macneil...

Brian

Uh, what about Next, Huffy, and anything else sold by an X-Mart?

wethepeople

Those arent real bmx companys.

wethepeople

You like just got your Macneil...

Ya, but I like The Take alot more then Macneil.

Brian

[snip!]and another character has this great bike that is really expensive and has a whole bunch of accessories.

What's 'your size'?

20-20.1.

Bloody small, I could probably go up to 20.25, wich is what I was going to try, or even go down to 19.75.

premiumbmx2005

i think i might be wrong but you might be able to get a custom one.

im probally wrong.

dont listen to me.

I can't use a 20" toptube. The smallest toptube I can use is my friend 20.2". I prefer to have a lot of room and use the 20.5"

best:

standard byke company

:D

eightdip

naaa, standard aren't the best

FitRider 921

Standard = good
Standard (does not equal sign thing) the best

I would 'bet the farm' that you wouldnt notice the difference between at 20.2" tt and a 20.5"tt...

Yes, I do actually notice the difference. I've tried a 20.2 and 20.5 and noticed the difference. I can't use a 20 though... that's way too small.

Haro,GT,Mongoose and hoffman are good

Bikedued

GT and Mongoose must have improved quite a bit lately. Here in America they were Wal Mart bikes(aka junk). Maybe Pacific is finally building decent bikes that don't weigh 40 pounds(18k)? Yeah right, lol.,,,,BD

GT and Mongoose were the sh!te 24 years ago......

Bigb2010

Is felt a good brand

Brian

Yeah, Felt makes some decent bikes in the lower end of non-Xmart bikes.

FitRider 921

The whole Xmart thing makes me laugh... just thought I would tell you.

Brian

Shut up, cripple. I hate that expression myself, but it's a fairly good catch-all for the various sources of cheap bikes.

Thanks, now you're being xist against cripples. I don't like that.

Hey, you're my favorite cripple on here. :D

That's because I'm the only cripple...

Brian

Yeah, that too.

FitRider 921

Yeah, that too.
I feel loved. (Sarcasm tag thing)

You forgot your sarcasm tags.

FitRider 921

Yeah, that too.
I can't take you seriously anymore with that dog for an icon. And now I can longer call you expat. :(

Brian

It's still me.

premiumbmx2005

oootah

FitRider 921

It's still me.
I miss the old expat.

Brian

Why's that?

FitRider 921

Why's that?
He had a cooler name and picture. What do we call you for short now?

wethepeople

I'm still just going to call him expat.

FitRider 921

I think I have to as well... there's no bikeforums.net without 'Expat'. Of course all the noobs will have no idea what we are talking about, but that's just too bad. We can let their imaginations run wild.

Brian

Y'all can still call me Expat. I figure since I've been back for nearly 10 months, it's time for a change.

eightdip

I wondered where you'd gone ex. hehe
