Hi guys, I picked this frame up off a teammate of mine. I was looking for an everyday bike that I can ride the flat singletrack around here on to play around between road seasons, and to maybe race 2-3 cross events a year.
Is it a mountain frame that can double as a cross frame, or is it a true cross frame? The fork would lead me to believe it's a mountain frame, but I've ridden a mountain bike once, so I'm not too knowledgeable about them either.
Thanks!

cross bike, I would guess? why not ask your teamate?
Well, he was saying he raced cross on it, but it just crossed my mind that it could be a mtn frame with the fork. I did find an advertisment for it being a cross bike though.
stick a road wheel on it...if the brakes align, its a cross. but just looking at it, its a cross.
Howdy,
Saw that frame back in 1998-1999. Probably from the same time frame. Cannondale's unique attempt at having a headshok fork on a cross bike. BTW, to answer your question, It is a true 'cross bike. They made a road bike with the same fork too.
