Too bad his chances of taking the title are very slim. That would have been a great ending.
It will be interesting to see what happens next year with all the switch ups. I want to know if Raikkonen is any good or if all of his "bad luck" is his doing.
I'm normally not a vindictive person or anything... but I hope alonzo crashes, or at least has a motor failure.
It was awesome when schumacher won italy and china but japan was an absolute disaster, then another failure during qualifying... argg... I bet someone inside ferrari's trying trip him up on his way out.

I keep trying not to wish Alonso bad luck, but it's not working very well. ;) To be fair, Alonso has had his fair share of disasters this year. Go Schumi!!

Good bye! "Don't let the tire hit you in the *ss on the way out Micheal."
F-1 will be better off without him. Go Alonso!

Excellent, there are F1 fans here. While Schumi's actions are questionable at time but no one can deny his driving ability. This is the end of an era and we are witnessing history in the making. Alonso deserves his 2nd championship and let see what kind of legacy he will build.
Who is your favorite F1 driver? Mine is Alain Prost, I missed the duel he had with Senna.

I respect Michael's accomplishments for sure. I was just never of fan of his tactics and questionable sportsmanship.
Anyway..there are a number of F-1 fans here including myself. Favorite F-1 driver? Tough...Mario Andretti is probably my all time favorite driver and an F-1 Champion. I really loved watching Aryton Senna drive. I think he was an all time great for sure. Who knows what he could have done had he lived longer.
I know this will not be popular with a lot of people, but I met him once when he was still a Champ Car driver and I really liked Jacques Villeneuve as well.
Alonso will win more a couple more championships before he's done I believe. There are a few other guys who have the potential for greatness also. I just think it's time for the sport to have some new blood and having more winners in a season makes it more exciting than watching the Ferrari snooze fest we had to endure the last few years before Renault figured out a way to build a car capable of running with the Ferraris. I'm excited about the future of F1.
For me, watching schumacher was exactly like watching lance armstrong. Both very talented, focused, and definitely took organization to a new level but after a while, it really is a snooze fest.
I wish he could've stayed in the sport because the fierce battles between ferrari and renault really made this season exciting and would've really kept us all entertained for a few seasons to come. Yesterday's race was a bittersweet end to a long career, I really enjoyed it. It felt like all odds were against schumacher from the get go, bad qualifying, cut tire, but watching him drive like a mad man to make it to 4th was really exciting.

There is no doubt Ferrari and Schumacher created a dynasty. Despite the qualify fiasco and flat tire, he did a great job getting to 4th place. Next year will be interesting. I am a Ferrari fan but I can not see myself cheering for Raikkonen. That guy is a robot with no emotion, extreme opposite of the passionate and extroverted Ferrari team.
