I'm trying to track down a suntour track cog, came across this. Says 1" pinch (not pitch), for an NJS cog. Emailed the seller and he said it was the chain size? Def not 1" pitch. What's the deal? Am I missing something? Look here:

He either is silly. Or trying to cash in on the pricey inch pitch bits around ebay.

He either is silly. Or trying to cash in on the pricey inch pitch bits around ebay. That's what I thought, but when I asked him, he seemed pretty sure of himself, if it's NJS, should be 1/8th, right? On top of that, it lists it as "pinch", not pitch.

Yup, should be 1/8" and as for pinch, he's just a moron.

pitch = circumference distance between teeth, always 1/2" or 1" (or stupid 80's shimano 10mm stuff). 1/8" or 3/32" = width.

Technically it's 1/2" pitch, but if you can't tell from the picture what it is... I won't finish this one.

BTW, pitch is the pin distance of a full link.

Shimano 10-Pitch is cool.

I mean, if you use it and you like it you rule, but I don't see the point. It's not better, it's expensive, and it's a pain to find the stuff.

Duh, it's cool because you can sell 90 links of it for mad bills.
