I have a JTS with the stock cromoloy(?) Project 2 fork. My shop can get me a really good deal on a Reynolds. Will a hack like me notice the difference, or am I just standing in the shower tearing up $100 bills (old sailboat racing joke)?

I think your bike will end up being about 0.5 lb lighter. I wouldn't bother unless I got a REALLY good deal on the carbon fork.
It's a hair over .75lbs difference. $300 installed?
