Don't worry, I lied. like the rest of the overweight 50+ers. If the rest of these 50+ers are telling the ruth about what they ate, then they left out the part about the double fudge sundae they had for dessert. :)

Collard greens and yellow rice with lemonade for dinner. But this doesn't include the snacking in the afternoon after riding 110.9 miles - hummus, crackers, carrots and part of a small pesto pizza. It was HOT (upper 80's to 90 F), windy (15 mph with gusts into the 20's), and I was out there helping a couple of 20-somethings do their first century rides.

Not a typical dinner, but:

3 slices of "light" whole wheat bread (120 calories total)
dipped in "egg beaters" and cooked on teflon skillet with light coating of canola oil
1 thin piece of "turkey ham" also fried in no oil.
A bit of honey and some canola oil spread
1 slice cantaloupe and fresh strawberries
Water

Don't worry, I lied. like the rest of the overweight 50+ers. If the rest of these 50+ers are telling the ruth about what they ate, then they left out the part about the double fudge sundae they had for dessert. :)

Man that sounds good, but I havent lost 11 pounds eating that way!

10-23-06, 07:57 AM
half a burger
8 sea scallops (grilled with olive oil, garlic, and jerk seasoning, Mmmmm.)
broccoli
red wine

So I'm thinking about meal plans when I retire (in 10 years). I want to emphasize breakfast more and dinner less. I've experimented with "snacky" dinners already. And my kids now accept olive oil and fresh bread as a valid dinner option. Hmmmm.

Honey mustard pretzel bits!

I was on the homeward leg of a road trip to the in-laws. Had a grilled chicken sandwich with fries for lunch, and a light snack was enough to get home. Breakfast was homemade cinnamon rolls and banana bread (all made with Splenda instead of sugar) with milk and cranberry juice.

:roflmao: Now, now, now... I didn't lie, but I didn't say how much pasta I ate. Sufice it to say that it was more than an "individual" serving.

I was busy last night. Snacked on ice cream, low fat string cheese(best if the package is put in warm water for a few minutes before opening the individual cheeses), and a steak. Tonight is more likely to be tuna fish, mushroom sauce and rice, with a salad.

Here, here, I didn't lie about what I ate or my portions. Really!

Tonight I was bad! I had Buffalo Wild Wings.

1 1/2 pieces of the Chicken Tenders (breaded and fried)
3 large Onion Rings
and 3 Potato wedges.
It was tasty though and I had chinese food for lunch. Again, not much becasue I canonly eat 1/4 to 1/2 cup of food, but....

Okay, okay taking Wednesday off of work to go on a REALLY long ride. It is suppose to be 53 degrees and Sunny on Wednesday. I can burn of all the bad food from today on Wednesday :D

If you guys aren't lying I'm in trouble and will never be in need of an 60+'s thread. No wonder the doctor told me to lose 40 pounds.

Sandwich with two pieces of Publix ham and sweet tea. And the worst part is, between reading threads......I'm looking for more.............

Sitting here at the keyboard burping. At work today I broke down and, starving, finished off half off much of an cream pie leftover from a staff party (crust, chocolate syrup, shaved chocolate bar, caramel syrup, and densely packed coffee ice cream). To avoid a long stretch of guilty feelings, I crammed it in quickly hoping my conscience wouldn't notice. But, it did.

Maybe just a small green salad tonight.

Tonight it was garlic spinach on polenta, with sauteed tomatoes, bell peppers and onions as a side, washed down with a pinot grigio. For desert a chunk of bittersweet chocolate and homemade pecan sandies. Last night it was butternut squash risotto, with asparagus in a lemon/shallot vinegarette and tomato/mixed green tossed salad, with a modest chianti to tie it all together. Same desert as tonight. Why mess with a winner. This is not normal fare here at the homestead, but my beloved just got a Vegetarian Italian cookbook and has been playing. I, of course, am the grateful beneficiary. Go girl!

Been eating healthy of late, but not so tonight.

Cornish Pasty (beef) locally made by a bakery
warm, chunky applesauce
grape juice

With a sticky bun covered with pecans - from the same bakery

It was a bit of a reward for my having done a rigorous 3 mile hike up & down some hills, followed by 6 miles on the bike, in 34 degree weather.

Two double quarter pounders with cheese, super size fries, super size coke, and a hot apple pie for dessert.

Not really. Last night it was leftover ham (the real thing), long grain and wild rice on the side, and a salad. And a sprite (also the real thing).

Some of us would appear to need a bike to work off the excess weight we are eating and some cannot ride a bike because of the little amount they eat on their diets.

Dinner tonight- 6oz steakburger (Like an ordinary burger but coarsely chopped steak), Potatoe wedges- Homemade with just the spice I like and drizzled in Olive oil, Green beans and carrots. Dessert will probably be a yoghourt of some description.

Now I have been out on the road today visiting somme local customers so Breakfast was a coffee and a Danish but had to take a client to lunch. Company was paying but he is on a health kick. Had a Seafood salad, while he had a pasta. He weighs about 200 lbs with most of it round the Mid-riff, but when I mentioned about exercising- All he seems to do is Walk down to the Pub twice a week and stagger back.

Refried beans topped with cheese and FF sour cream, and a cheese crisp. I know BOARING! But we were ina hurry and it was quick, and has lots of protein to boot!

Lunch was yummy though...prime rib sandwich! I 86'ed the bun and dipped the meat in Aujus! Add some delicious baked beans. Ahhhhhh....more protein :)

OK Gary, "tonight" and "two eggs, four stips of bacon and two peice of wheat toast" are mutally exclusive concepts.

I believe the word you are struggling for is "breakfast.":)
