Anybody on the this "Fifty Plus" remember.
The Rainier Wheelmann Seattle WA. 1960s'
We used to ride together and go to the track races in Carnation. I think it was a flat track too. Marrymore had the bank track

I should have posted this in the 70+ group.
I was 10 then and now it's fifty+ for me. Those guys where all 20s 30s.
This was Seattle before the Cascade group came around.

I got the straight story from a former Wheelman.

Actually Marymoor wasn't built yet in the sixties. I think it opened in 1975. We used to go mainly to the Spanaway 1/4 mile asphalt car track down by Tacoma (it had very slight banking), and we would also go to the Alpenrose Dairy track in Portland, which is (still) a proper banked cycling track. I think we went to a high school (cinder) running track on the Eastside once too.
