Found this site by accident while surfing and decided to join in. After years of neglecting my health, including a heart attack, colon cancer, and morbid obesity, (with all it's associated problems), I had gastric by-pass surgery almost two years ago, (November 1, 2004), and my life has started all over again! I biked a lot as a kid growing up in Detroit, and really enjoyed it. So after my surgery, I got back into biking for exercise. It's grown into an obsession and I couldn't be happier. So far this year between my hybrid, (Gary Fisher Nirvanna), and my road bike, (Trek Pilot 2.1), I've logged over 2,700 miles, and hope to break 3,000 by the end of the year.
