Do you cheer for individuals, trade-teams, nationality?

I find that for me it depends on the race... sometimes even tradition of the race. Thoughts?

Yeah, I'd say it depends on the race most of the time. In an international race, I usually go for my few favorite countries. And, if I have a favorite rider in the race, they always get a specific cheer. It just depends, I guess! ;)

I'm a die-hard Museeuw fan.

He commands so much respect from his peers, has staged TWO successful comebacks from near death accidents, has won more world cup races than any other rider currently racing, and has a true "hard man's" personality. The man is agressive, but not unnesisarily so, and all of his attacks and decisions in a race are purposeful. From the interviews that I've read regarding him, he seems like a man with great character, and a dedication and singlemindedness for the sport that's greater than most other pros.

The guy is my hero.

Lance in the tour and Museeuw in the classics.

I tend to go for the guys that are just below the team leader radar...well known worker types...Phil Anderson,Sean Yates,George Hincapie,Charlie Mottet,Tyler Hamilton...

Although I'm a big LA fan (more for the
cancer than anything else), I tend
to cheer for Tyler Hamilton when he
is riding stage races.
For classics, Musseuw gets my voice
(but I am pulling for Hincapie in Paris-Roubiax).
Gotta say I'm pulling for Lance in the Tour,
I'd like to see him get 5 straight and 6 altogether.

Confusing, huh?

Not this year. Out with sickness for the whole spring. They're trying to figure out how to structure the team around Ekimov and Van Heeswick.

...the guy you never heard of on the 90 mile solo breakaway. It breaks my heart when they catch him with 2km to go.

roadbuzz: I'm with you. I often find myself shouting at the TV Go, Go, GO! :)

I used to go for the Mapei squad in everything except the tour where USPS rules. Now I follow Quick Step and will watch Lance get #5 in July.
