Southeast - Melton's App and Tapp Tuesday 6:30

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I just wanted to send an invite to all in the Atlanta area to come to Melton's at the Scott Blvd, N. Decatur Rd, and Medlock Rd intersection and ride Tuesday at 6:30. This week's promises to be really cool-- literally-- ride. Just remember, we require helmets and lights.
BTW I will be on my FS mountain bike, so I will be even slower than I normally am.
Thanks,
Tommy

You're stabling the golden stallion? I didn't think I'd see the day!
I should be there provided the company's golf soiree is over by then. See you guys there!

Still nursing the wrist?

Golf?? In these cool temps?
I guess golfers are as "crazy" as cyclists. ;)

I'm still getting over the 3-Day exhaustion, and not sure I can stay awake... Next week, next week...
You could drive your "Ancient Acura Integra" and be the SAG vehicle. ;)

Do you really want a sleepy driver riding on your wheel? I think not!
Again this week. Same ride. Same time (even with the time change, so remember your lights). Same place to meet. Same place to eat and drink afterwards. Well, darn it, the same everything, so there's no excuse. Be there!!!
Anyway, I still am nursing the wrist and getting quite irritated with the whole issue.
BTW The yellow "stallion" is stabled only due to injury (its injury, not mine). On my way to work Monday, I hit a manhole cover that had not been leveled after the repaving of a road and need to get the back wheel replaced. This is going on the city of Atlanta's dollar, though. In the meantime, I am bouncing around on the red and black pony.

Tommy, some Sorellas are asking about the ride - is it a 'no-drop' ride?

yep, there is a sweeper I believe. getting dropped isn't a problem, it's the different paths people take that's the problem :p
just ask around prior to the ride about who's going long at your pace and stick with them. I'd go tonight, but I have to work :(

I got dropped like a bad habit last time I rode that ride. Luckily there was a slow group that was interested in a group ride instead of a race day. I had a blast tracking down Avondale off roading with the "slow" group.
Hey, we'll be out there again this week.
There are some that like to ride fast, but most of us try to pace ourselves to keep new riders in the group. We usually end up with multiple groups forming. As suggested, match up with someone that knows the route and let them know that you are new or not familiar with the route. Most are able to set a proper pace.
