Have an old Sugino triple crank with a 26-50 jump in rings. Using a 105 "9 speed" long cage rd, I don't think I should have any chain-wrap problems using a 13 or even 12/25 cassette. Or will I? What is the rough capacity of that rd?

It'll run at least 37. Shimano triple = 30-52 and up to 12-27.

I run a 105 9-speed triple rd with a 52x42x26 Ultegra crank and a 13x27 (yes, I modified both the crank and a 12x27 casette) 9-speed cassette with no problems. I can't use the 26T granny with the 13 or 14T cogs but that's no loss.
