Right. I Live in London and ride to and from work everyday approx 24 miles altogether. I have been cycling in London since I moved here in 1998. Originally, my purpose was to save a bit of cash as the public transport here is a rip off! but ended up getting addicted to cycling. Used to ride a very heavy mountain bike but when I experienced the speed of road bikes, an upgrade had to happen. I now ride a specialized Allez daily. This thing although not terribly expensive, is dead fast especially off the line. I also use it on our monthy 70 mile rides and it has never let me down (except for the odd punctures). I have ridden this bike for over 2900 miles sine I got it last spring and she is due for a few parts upgrade. New wheels are already on its way and the group set will be replaced by Q2 in 2007.
Not sure what else to add really.... I registered here to see what other bike nuts are talking about and perhaps identify riding buddies.
