General Cycling Discussion - New Bike ready first ride tomorrow

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Built my bike up two weeks ago, but the day I finished, I got a call from work and worked 11 to 14 hours every day since then, but thursday we finished.:D
Took these pictures before I cut the fork. Pedals and seat are from my MT bike. Going to get accustomed to new bike before I install new seat and pedals. It is Ti with Ultegra.

They have about 300 frames mostly Mongoose Pros road and MT they are selling direct. Mine is a Mongoose Pro

Well I've been out for two long rides so far. This bike is as comfortable as my MT soft tail. It took an hour before I felt relaxed. It likes to dive into turns, it feels like I fell into a hole on sharp turns. Not the slow steady turns of my MT bike. It is a triple but it hasn't got the granny gears I spin up the very steep hills in on my MT bike. There is a one mile long steep hill with a very steep last two hundred yards about twenty two miles out I thought I would end up walking up, but I was able to spin all the way to the top.
It is so light under me it’s a real blast.
If it doesn’t rain this weekend I think I'll ride up Mt. Diablo. That’s a climb of 3740 feet in 10 miles.
Total cost so far is $1770. About a thousand less than a similar bike from Lightspeed. I'm very happy with this bike.
