Cross racing in Orrville OH.
About 1 hour south of Cleveland
ORRVILLE CYCLING CLUB

ORRVILLECROSS

Come and race a beautiful 1.4 mile loop through the
meadows and woodlands of the Orr Park Trail Complex.
Hard pack, run-ups, grassland, footbridge crossings and
some nice, technical stretches will challenge every level
of competitor. Great spectating, parking and restrooms.

Race Categories
C Race- Cat 5/Beginners/Juniors @ 1:30pm (30 min)
B Race- Cat 3-4/Women/Sport @ 2:15pm (45 min)
A Race- Cat 1-3/Expert @ 3:15pm (60 min)
*organizer reserves right to combine races as necessary
• Entry Fee $20, - Juniors race for $10
($10 One day USCF license if required)
• Prizes dependent upon participation
(50% Cash Payback for A Race)
• Cyclocross and Mountain Bikes permitted
(no bar ends)
• All USCF rules apply. USCF Permit

DIRECTIONS: Orrville is located on State Route 57, 16 miles south of I-76 or 4 miles
north of US-30. Take SR-57 to High St. (at Serpentini Chevrolet) turn WEST on High.
Drive four blocks and turn RIGHT onto N. Ella St. (at CITGO). Registration and
parking are just north of Fox’s Pizza Den. Check for more details on our website.

I can't decide whether to do this one or the OMBC series finale on sunday...too many hard choices in life!

cleveland. i'm doing it singlespeed, any suggestions on ratio? i'm guessing it's not flat and fast so i won't be at too much of a disadvantage.

No not really fast and flat...... AS they say it contains a bit of everything. Not sure what the others are using on their singles, I ride gears.

What class you racing in?

c/novice. i've raced in some "bandit" / "underground" cross series, but this will be my first official race. racing with way more people than i'm used to (and with people who i don't really know), i figure that the beginner class will be a good bet.

42/20 with 38c tires and 175mm cranks on my San Jose has gotten me onto the "B-class" podium in two of the BikeAuthority races. I initially was worried that this gearing was too low, but it has worked out pretty well for me so far.
