Finally made the move to the Rhone-Alpes in France (February 18, to be exact). Very different from North Holland, not that it was a big surprise. :D
The Web site is back up, and reorganized, at http://perso.wanadoo.fr/masong4/ - nothing on new cycling experiences yet, but soon.
Just a few cycling points:
1. My 90 cadence in NL was very comfy. I am getting used to barely 80 in the hills - can't do much more yet (if ever).
2. I am amazed at how quickly one can acclimate to the hills. The difference is noticeable day to day!
3. Drivers here are very good with cyclists. That was a bit of a concern, since in NL everyone rides, so drivers are always faced with them (and are/were themselves in that group as well most of their lives).
4. Lots of cycling on TV!
It will take forever to catch up here, so I better get started.
Cheers...Gary
