Is this worth the money/effort to have done or would it be better to just buy a new wheel? ( I need quick release)

20mm through axel.

Converting it cant be done, just buy a new rim, or if the rim is good just a new hub.

why can't he just replace the axle? loosescrews.com has them for about $10
