Hey need to get some cash to buy a car so I'm selling my Vitus road bike. I dont know how much to ask for it.

It is a Vitus, which is a french bike and has a good reputation, i believe
Its aluminum and very very light for a bike of its age
I believe the frame is about 20 years old
Im guessing the bike ways about 18-19 lbs.
it has a around 4-5 year old Shimano Sora Rear D, and downtube shimano 600 everything else.
Im not sure which model vitus it is.
It is is Very very good condition

I loved this bike alot and stopped ridding it because I outgrew it. I bought it for around $200 , a year and a half ago. Im not trying to sell this on this board I just would like to know how much to ask for it. Thanks

A Vitus with full Dura-Ace went for $275 recently. With Sora I would ask $100-150. Don't expect much more for bonded aluminum. It's not the most popular frame design, but I like them personally. Definetly not a racer, as they can possibly fail under extreme stress.

Dood, you need to find a healthy girl who rides bikes!
If she hasn't got a bike, let her ride the Specialized!:D

Yeah, but at 16, they are highly prized - and I'm not too old to remember that it is for a good reason that this is so.

'Sides, it's a lot harder to get lucky on the back of a bike....... :D

Then he needs a tandem recumbent TRIKE!!!

Oh yeah, that's right.....they cost North of $5,000! oH Weeel:(

As a note, I impressed my wife (back in high school) with my "Chopped" Schwinn stingray!
I know I got lucky! (3 kids proof enough?) and she DOESN'T RIDE BIKES AT ALL!:D
