Typical of knee-jerk organizations:

You would think they would do a bit more research before they make themselves look silly.

Now I'm going to hang up my peace sign wreath.

Silliness is what they do. No amount of research will spare them that.

"Animal Rights Activists" recently liberated 2500 quail from a bird farm. They cut the nets the farmer had over the pens. Most of them died because thay are domesticated and can't live in the wild.

Now THAT'S animal abuse.

Here in So Cal you get fined for abandoning your dogs in rural and mountain areas.

But you can drop off your newborn at any fire station with no penalty! :D

^^Can you drop your dog off at the pound? I imagine the authorities would be disappointed if you dropped your newborn off in the mountains as well.

On the serious side. Sort of, well at least to start.

My Alpha dog was abandonded and lived on the street for about 2 years according the the ASPCA. When I got him he was significantly underweight, and this was after the ASPCA had been fattening him up. Yet PETA seems to think my 'ownership' is abusing him.

They are welcome to try to take him from me, but I would not advise it, he will sense that I do not like them and then we will have a case of DETP, Dog Eating Tasty People.

Yeah, as a vegan and animal rights activist it would be natural to think that I'm a PETA supporter. Wrong.

I do think that they were founded with good intentions. However, the way they execute those intentions is completely off-base.

They definitely lost a lot of ground with me when they started saying that bullcrap that having pets is cruel. My dog is Canis Lupus Familiaris, as is are domesticated dogs. He is a pampered pet, not a wild dog/wolf that is pining for the forests/danger etc.

He HATES it when I tie him up outside a store, even for a minute.

Interesting idea, so do you support cannibalism since human flesh is essentially the same as other animals?
