Tandem Cycling - Habanero Tandem Frame

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Anybody here ever seen or ridden one??? They have nice looking design, good tubeset selection, and I do know a few guys riding their Mt. bikes happily.
Any experience would be appreciated.

There's a very strong couple on Tandem@Hobbes who have one that they campaign in NorCal. This was a recent post by Craig: http://search.bikelist.org/getmsg.asp?Filename=tandem.10610.0089.eml. You might want to float him a note.
To the best of my knowledge, the frame is the same ones (edit: or very similar to the ones) offered by Spicer and AeroLite and produced by Xi'an Chanda (XCD) of Xi'an Shaanxi. http://www.xacd.com.cn/product.asp?rpag=2&rootcl=1&cls=1 (link may or may not be working)
That does appear to be the Spicer frameset, which I did someprior research on, but the tubeset for the Habanero is more sophisticated: the Spicer has round tubes, where the Hab is a mixture of teardrop, oval and round. Also, the Hab has road brake mounts.
Thanks for the contact. I'll see if I can get a reply.

I'd suspect that Mark at Habanero would have spec'd a few unique features to cater to his clientle and to differentiate his product offering from the others, but I'd be surprised if XCD wasn't his supplier.
One of the tandems shown in these pictures of the 2006 Pinole Team Time Trial is a Habanero tandem.... might be the one in this shot?
