Went for a walk tonight to clear my head and brought my camera with me to snap a few pics...

The bridge is pretty much the only interesting thing to take pictures of in Houghton, but the water was just beautiful tonight...

I spent a few week in Houghton and Copper Pt a few years ago - it was fun, relaxing, and when it was 114 back home I was wearing a jacket! Though I'd hate to live there.

Might I suggest getting a waterproof digital camera first???

I think we all have "the night" to thank for those spectacular pictures. Intersting that the same locations in the daytime would probably be quite dull and boring. (of course the man made lighting plays a big role as well)

Also the water is still due to the long exposure time. You can see that the reflection is fuzzy due to the moving water, but it all averages out over the long exposure.

Hmmm, max size for photobucket is 800x600 I think. Original size of photos is 2816x2112. Know of any site where I can upoad them to? Actually, I'm leaving right now and I'm going to be gone this weekend and won't be able to upload them till I'll get back. I'll be sure to do it first thing though.

I'll be sure to do it first thing though.You can upload anything you want to Photobucket. Underneath the "Chose an Image" box where you pick the file to upload, there's a link to "Uploading Options". I just set mine to "1 Megabyte File Size" which will accomodate just about any image I want to upload. Like this high-rez background I uploaded recently: Lightning.jpg (http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e346/DannoXYZ/Photography/Lightning.jpg).
