I was curious if anyone know what the formula is that they use to categorize climbs. I know that 1 is more difficutl than 2 and Hors (severe) is more difficult than 1. How do they get the 1, 2, 3, 4 numbers?
I understand it is based on gradiant, distance and altitude. I did a search and found nothing (yahoo, excite, bikeforums).
