I have a pocket radio, that I want to connect to my handlebars, I also want to be able to take it off when I need to, also it can't bounce around, does anyone have any ideas on how to do it?

I don't have anything specific in mind, but hardware stores should have brackets for mounting things to tubes, which you might then be able to attach some sort of clip to. More description or a picture of the radio might help me to envision something.

My radio handlebar setup: make a small netted bag from a potato/onion/garlic sack. velcro the top for easy removal of your radio/ walkman. you can buy a cheap walkman at a thrift store such as value village for about $4. buy a pair of mini-speakers from radioshack, they dont require batteries (theyre about $14 canadian). waterproof speakers by wrapping in black plastic bag. sound is minimally affected. because you have two speakers it sounds better given that they are seperated. waterproof walkman by placing inside of ziploc bag. this system works but is not all that asthetically pleasing. its safer and its one less thing you have to deal with when you put on your cycling gear.

I have a handlebar radio which my wife bought for me at Radio Shack. It works well EXCEPT, it is very difficult to hear the radio if there is a lot of street noise.

I've never even considered mounting a radio on my bike.

What next; lowrider recumbents with thumping drum and bass sounds coming from the rear panniers? :D

I've got a bike rack over the rear tire and a net. Usually I'll strap mine on top of a backpack or a jacket if I'm carrying one. Works like a charm.
