Does anyone know of any good single tracks in the area (or where to find them)? I've been itching to break in my new mountain bike. And if you know of any good road bike trails, spill the beans.

Thanks

Ryan

Patapsco State park, Avalon area. Best Mtn. biking I know of near you. Probably about 15 miles or so north of Odenton. Directions below. I am not familiar with the area with regard to road riding. I live up in CC and ride up here or Howard County mostly.

Avalon/Glen Artney/Orange Grove/Lost Lake Areas - From the Beltway (I-695) Take Rt. 1 (Exit 12-A) toward Elkridge. Follow Rt. 1 South about 3 miles to South St. Turn right. Park entrance is on the left.
From I -95 take I-195 to Rt. 1 (Exit 3) toward Elkridge to South St. Turn right. Park entrance is on the left.

From Howard County follow Rt. 1 through Elkridge and into Baltimore County. Turn left onto South St. Park entrance is on the left.

I’ll second Patapsco, it has some great trails. If you are looking to ride with someone hang out in this parking lot:

On a weekend morning and ask if you can join a group, most are really friendly.

For on road routes I think this is the best site for info:
