A couple of months ago I purchased a Specialized Sequoia Expert road bike. It came with no name "long reach" brakes. Shortly after purchase I was told that that the brakes were defective, they had too much play and could rotate enough to puncture the tires. The dealer adjusted the play in the brakes and said he was talking to Specialized about the problem. I was contacted a week later and told not to ride the bike and that new brakes were on the way. Months passed and no brakes arrived, was told they were being air freighted, etc. etc. Two days ago I was told the brakes were OK and would not be replaced! Has anyone any experience with this sort of problem? What would be a good replacemnet brake ( they need to be long reach with a long thread because of carbon forks) Whey can they be purchased? Thanks in advance for your comments. Jeff Enck
