I started communicating with Robert Thompson a few months ago. He was planning a bicycle trip from Japan to London. He is a very good writer (although some is in Japanese, which I can't read, even if I had the translation software), and he takes incredible pictures. He's riding a HP Velotechnik Street Machine GTe, and you'll see why. This is better than watching a movie. Settle in and read his blog from beginning to end. There's a map of his route, and he's currently in Tajikistan.
Anybody who is planning or wondering if they should do a remote cycling trip, should read this. It will probably either make you reconsider your plans, or if you're the adventurous type, relish the challenge.

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
