BMX - What flatland bike to get?

Yo. I am very interested in flatland riding, but I haven't done it and I was wondering what good beginner flatland bike would be. I can spend up to 300 bucks and I am about 6 foot (if that helps). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thx

Thx for the site. I looked at their complete bikes, but don't know which ones are decent. I also saw that you can custom a bike picking parts from their site and they will put it together. Can anyone tell me some decent parts so that I may go the custom way (depending on price). :)

well, for 300 bucks your only going to get so much.

everything that flatlandfuel sells is quality. they don't sell crap.

I would just pick what you want from their site and buy it.
one bike may have better wheels but then the cranks are kinda crappy compared to something else.
for 300 your only going to get so much so just pick the bike that looks neat or cool to you and get it.
the more you ride it the more you will start to understand what it is that you like and want.

Well.... I can go over 300, but I wouldn't want to get carried away on my first ever flatlind bike. you know what i mean? I think just a nice beginner bike is best right now, but if there is a good deal on another bike i won't hesitate. hehe

I cant decide to get either a street or flatland complete bike. Im not really a rider who wants to grind. I just want a light bike to hop higher. Here is my list of possibilites (with pics)

you just want to do bunnyhops? get anything you want, if you can't hop high it's not the weight of the bike holding you back it's your lack of skills.

I have a an old blue schwinn aerostar from the like the very early 1990s, and i can bunny hop 4-5 inches with it. Is it a pain in the ass to put pegs on a standard bike?

if you do decide you want a true complete flatland bike, go with the fly micromachine at flatlandfuel.com. it is hands-down the best beginner complete out there, especially for $350. the frame is a 2002 model that alone sells for $200. the only upgrades that may be needed are a shorter stem and a fork with less offset. pat at ffuel says the taska freecoaster will work fine as long as you maintain it. that would be the best suggestion if you don't want to put too much into your first bike. i prefer it over the khe. if you are looking to just do bunnyhops though, you probably don't want a flatland bike. a street bike would be more comfortable to ride around on and better to just jump around with as well as take more damage.
