I indeed have a great sense of humor, and I've pulled a few real good ones myself over the years. My concern was that my "name" was being dragged thru the mud - now that I know I was the only one to see it with my name inserted, its no big deal. Just a good april fools day joke. I should have known, but you know how us retirees are - we easily loose track of the days (while everyone else is out there working). Nite all!

Oh, and one other thing - I will not abandon this forum as there is too much good info here! I value everyone's (well, nearly everyone's) opinion as I have been away from biking for 20+ years and am looking forward getting back into it to take up some of my retirement leisure time!

As a relatively new Forum member, thanks for clueing me in on the April Fool joke (H-m-m...). For a moment there, I though my heart was going to blow out of my chest when I initially observed my good name being drug through the sewers of Baghdad, but I am somewhat relieved now. I'm really a nice guy...

Chris L, however, needs the immediate help of the nearest psychiatrist, or possibly deported back to home planet Neptune.

Listing me as "banned" was part of the joke. I was never really banned. As far as all that typing goes, there is a website (I don't have the URL off hand right now, I'm at work) which generates insults/complaints. I just copied and pasted a few paragraphs, inserted some code and there it was...

Actually, it was mainly Joe's idea. I just did it to make it look less obvious.

This is veganheart. I would like to defend myself if i may. First, the only way that I can make sense of any of this is that there must be another person who calls themself "veganheart." I have only been a member of the bike forum since march 31st 2003. I have put up two posts: 1. looking to buy a used chromoly frame 2. (and I assume this is the one that all the fuss is about) i applauded Anders K. desire to find a leather free saddle. I said something like... part of the reason i am a cyclist is to minimize my ecological footprint. (and ) I try not to live at the expense of others. animals or human. I am disturbed that two people have at least claimed to leave this forum as a result of those simple remarks. I am also rather dumbfounded. Am I missing something? Is what i said so terrible?
The only other explanation is that Chris L. is in some need of serious THERAPY!
