Did my first century today. Wind was rough. Navigation left something to be desired and ended up doing 107. Butt has blisters. I loved it. Want to do another tomorrow, well maybe in a week or two.

Put your feet up, watch TV, and have something enjoyable to drink. You desrve it. :)

Nice going. One of the neatest parts about completing a century is that you get to tell other people you rode your bike 100 miles! You say it, and quietly walk away. Your blistered butt is your badge of honor.

Well done and due to your problem- no pics required. Take a gentle ride in the next couple of days to make certain that the legs are not siezing up but keep it short as it is awkaward to do distance standing up.

Congrats on the first century. Heres a little poem that you might appreciate:

The Scorcher
He tumbled from his weary wheel and set it by the door;
Then stood as though he joyed to find his feet on earth once more;
And as he mopped his rumpled head his face was wreathed in smiles;
"A very pretty run," he said, "I did a hundred miles!"
"A hundred miles!" I cried, "Ah think what beauties you have seen!
The reedy streams where cattle drink, the meadows rich and green.
Where did you wend your rapid way - through lofty woodland aisles?"
He shook his head. "I cannot say - I did a hundred miles."
"What hamlets saw your swift tyres spin? Ah, how I envy you!
To lose the city's dust and din beneath the heaven's blue.
To get a breath of country air; to lean o'er rustic stiles!"
He only said, "The roads were fair; I did a hundred miles!"

Congrats!
The first is a major milestone. I've done two now and still feel elated. I don't know if I was better prepared on the second or if it was because on my second, the ride was supported, but it felt alot easier than my first.

Congatulations on your achievement. Welcome to the club. Now get some well deserved rest and begin pondering about when you will put yourself through that again.
Congratulations! I didn't even know I did my first century til I plotted it out the next day and found that I had gone 111 miles! When I discovered it, I collapsed into a quivering, gelatinous mass.
Shameless Plug o' the Day: No butt discomfort - I ride a Brooks! ;)

Congratulations and I am jealous. 4" of snow greeted me this am, and the forecast is for a low of 4 degrees tonight!
Stevelon, Congrats on your 1st century! Was that the intracoastal waterway century?

Ride in Brevard county FLorida. East coast area where the space launches take place.
Way to go! Looking out the window, we got snow here last night, too!
